Klondike Vacations Terms and Conditions
Our packaged itineraries make excellent use of Klondike Vacations' established network of local sightseeing tours and schedules.

General Terms & Conditions:
Bookings: Please choose your package, departure date, hotel grade to match your requirements. For best package selection, reservations should be made at least 45 days prior to departure. Limited space is available up to a few days before departure, and may result in less satisfactory tour arrangements due to lack of hotel or space availability in a particular resort or package segment.
Last minute bookings: Depending on space availability, bookings can be made up to the date of departure. For bookings within 45 days, we will begin checking tour availability ONLY if we have guarantee of payment (credit card number).
Rates: All prices quoted are per person and shown in Canadian currency. It should be understood that the rates include our administration, planning and operational expenses. All rates do not include federal and provincial sales and goods and services (GST) taxes unless otherwise specified. All rates are subject to change without notice.
Children's rates: Children's rates may be available upon request.
Single Supplements, Triple or Quad Occupancy and Group Rates: Available upon request.
Form of payment: Klondike Vacations accepts VISA, MasterCard, or e-banking transfers. Credit card payments will incur an additional 1.5% fee.
Documentation: Documents will be sent from our office no later than 14 days prior to departure. If a late booking does not allow us to provide you with travel documents prior to your departure, they will be available from our representative at the point of arrival on your day of travel. All rush and/or overnight deliveries within the 14 days will incur an added surcharge at the customer's expense.
Hotels: Hotel accommodations have been selected based on nationally recognized rating systems.
Accommodation: Klondike Vacations does not guarantee any type of hotel bedding accommodations. All properties are contracted on a "run of the house" basis, which means you will have a standard room which may be located in any part of the hotel. Hotel management makes all room assignments, and Klondike Vacations has no control over which room you will receive. If the requested hotel is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute hotel accommodations of a similar grade. Special requests will be communicated to hotel management, however, accommodations may not be possible. It is standard policy that hotel rooms are not available for check-in before 3:00 p.m. Check-out times are between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Disabilities: Klondike Vacations does not discriminate against persons on the basis of disability. Klondike Vacations requires that if you have any medical, physical and/or other requirements, these be brought to the attention of the representative when booking your reservations.
Meals: Packages will include meals or beverages only when specified.
Gratuities: Hotel baggage gratuities and gratuities on included meals are not included in package price. Driver/guide, transfer driver and all other train station gratuities are not included.
Cancellation responsibility: Klondike Vacations reserves the right to cancel all or part of the package in its reasonable discretion. If Klondike Vacations cancels the entire package, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid. If Klondike Vacations cancels a portion of the package due to weather or other reasons beyond its control, there will be no refund. For other partial cancellations by Klondike Vacations, you will receive a refund for the value of the cancelled portion, a value to be determined by Klondike Vacations in a fair and equitable manner.
Seating/baggage: Seating is not reserved or assigned but may be purchased in some cases for additional fees. Klondike Vacations will not be liable for any loss, or delay of, or damage to baggage. Nor will it assume any liability for any loss, delay or damage to breakable or perishable items, medicine, or other valuables. Klondike Vacations assumes no liability for property you may leave unattended. All baggage must meet airline or other transport restrictions.
Representatives: Representatives are available to assist you with your travel needs. You may direct all inquiries to 1 (877) 668-5655. If necessary, your call may be directed to the appropriate supplier.
Insurance: Many of the problems for which we cannot be held responsible for can be insured against. We highly recommend that you take out insurance to provide adequate cover for medical expenses, personal accident, loss of baggage and curtailment or cancellation of trip. Individuals are responsible to finance on the spot medical treatment and other contingencies, and then to reclaim this from insurance, if covered. You will be required to provide documentation to the insurance company to facilitate a claim. Please note that there are exclusions to coverage of insurance. It is your responsibility to be familiar with the insurance coverage purchased and ensure that the coverage meets your travel needs. Insurance has be purchased and paid for in full as soon as the booking is made to become fully effective. Please ask us for a quote and travel with peace of mind.
Tickets and Timings: All reference to departure times are for your guidance and are subject by amendment by the suppliers prior to actual booking. It is possible and that flight times will change even after tickets have been issued and you will be advised of such prior to departure provided your personal information is correct and up to date. It is the passengers responsibility to check all flight times 24 hrs prior to departure.
Conditions of Suppliers: Many of the services which make up your travel plans are provided by independent suppliers (“Service Provider”). These Service Providers have their own terms and conditions on you booking. Some of these terms and conditions may limit or exclude the Service Provider(s)’ liability to you, usually in accordance with the applicable International Conventions.
Behaviour of Self and Other Travelers in Party: When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any and all damage or loss caused by your or any member of your party. Full restitution for such damage or loss must be paid directly to the Service Provider. Failure to do so, you will be responsible for any subsequent claims made against us (in addition to ours and the Service Provider’s legal costs) as a result of your actions.
As our client, we reasonably expect that you will respect and be considerate for other people while traveling. If you or any member of your party behaves in such a way that is deemed to be dangerous, upsetting, or distressful to a third party or damage to property, we or the Service Provider may terminate your travel plans of the person(s) concerned, without prior notice. Should this occur, the person(s) concerned will be required to cease continuing to travel on the booking made with us. We will have no further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and no expense or costs incurred as a result of the termination of travel will be compensated by the Company.
Governing law:
Visas & Passports:
It is your responsibility to have a valid passport, visa and/or other travel documentation. A passport is the only reliable and universally accepted travel and identification document. Using other documentation may result in delays or being denied boarding.
For Domestic Flights: passengers must be in possession of government-issued photo identification. Children under 16 should carry proof of identity, if no photo ID is available.
Traveling with your Child or Another's: Whether travelling alone or accompanied by an adult, each child must travel with his own travel documents, a passport and appropriate visa, plus supporting documentation: i.e. birth certificate showing the names of both parents and/or legal documents pertaining to custody.
Fees: Please note that additional airport and/or hotel and/or car rental fees and government taxes (other than sales tax) may not be included in your purchase. These are frequently collected at destination. Seat selection may also incur fees.
Increases: Please note that all rates are subject to change without notice if full payment for booking has not been received. Klondike Travel does not warrant that prices will not change until booking is paid in full and an increase must be borne and paid for upon demand by Klondike Travel or the supplier of the service.
Company policy liability: The purchase of a Klondike Vacation package or any portion thereof constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions and limitations as to liabilities set forth herein. Klondike Vacations has made arrangements for the package services described. The carriers providing transportation services (other than Klondike Vacations), hotels and other suppliers providing tour services are independent contractors and are not the agents, employees or servants of, or joint ventures with Klondike Vacations or its affiliates. All certificates and other travel documents for package services issued by Klondike Vacations are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier and to the laws of the countries in which the services are supplied. All vouchers, coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by these suppliers.
By agreeing to utilize the services of Klondike Vacations, the package participant agrees that neither Klondike Vacations or its affiliates, nor its or their employees or agents, shall be liable for any delay, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, resulting from the act or omission of Klondike Vacations or its affiliates, or its or their employees or agents. Further, the package participant agrees that neither Klondike Vacations nor its affiliates, nor its or their employees or agents, shall be liable for any damage, loss, claim, cost or expense arising out of personal injury, accident or death, loss, damage or delay of baggage or other property, resulting from: (1) The act or omission on the part of any person other than Klondike Vacations or its employees; (2) Acts of God, sickness, theft, labor disputes, mechanical breakdown, government actions, weather, or any other cause beyond Klondike Vacations' direct control.
No person, other than a representative of Klondike Vacations authorized by a document in writing may vary, add or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions. Written notice of any claim against Klondike Vacations must be received no later than 48 hours after the date that services were provided to a tour participant.

Multi-Day Tour Packages:
- Deposit: Klondike Vacations requires a non-refundable deposit on all 7 day Vacations of 25% (but not less than $150) on a per person basis.
- Final payment: Final payment on all 7 day Vacations are required in our office 45 days prior to tour departure. Tours booked within 45 days of departure require a credit card number to guarantee full payment for the booking.
- Changes to reservation: If you wish to make any changes to your reservation after confirmation, we will do our utmost to satisfy your requirements but cannot guarantee availability and pricing. For changes that result in a reduction of services and/or for changes within 45 days, a charge of $100 per person plus tax will be applied. If your change results in cancellation of any services and Klondike Vacations incurs charges, these charges will be applied to your account.
- Cancellations/refunds: Cancellations must be received in writing to Klondike Vacations and are subject to the following cancellation penalties.
- Cancellations received after confirmation will incur a penalty of 25% per person
- Cancellations received 60-45 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of 45% per person
- Cancellations received 44-31 days prior to departure will incur a penalty of 65% per person.
- Cancellations received within 30 days of departure will incur a penalty of 100% per person.
- Unused features are non-refundable.
- No shows forfeit entire payment.
Yukon Weekend Escapes:
- Payment: Full payment is required at time of booking.
- Changes to reservation: If you wish to make any changes to your reservation after confirmation, we will do our utmost to satisfy your requirements but cannot guarantee availability and pricing. A penalty of $100 plus tax per booking will be incurred to change dates based on availability, if dates requested are not available then the booking will be cancelled and subject to cancellation conditions. A penalty of $100 plus tax per person will be incurred to change name of traveler.
- Cancellations: Cancellations must be received in writing to Klondike Vacations and are subject to $250 plus tax penalty, with balance remaining going to credit file with the supplier for future use for up to one year.
Day Tours & Activities:
- Payment: Full payment is required at time of booking.
- Changes to reservation: If you wish to make any changes to your reservation after confirmation, we will do our utmost to satisfy your requirements but cannot guarantee availability and pricing. For changes that result in a reduction of services and/or for changes within 45 days, a charge of $100 per person plus tax will be applied. If your change results in cancellation of any services and Klondike Vacations incurs charges, these charges will be applied to your account.

Governing law:
- You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Yukon Territory, Canada, and waive any right that you may have to object to an action being brought in those courts.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of Yukon Territory, Canada. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue courts in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Web Site.
Visas & Passports:

- Change of length of stay may result in a change of documentation needed to travel
- Any Visa advice provided to you is dependent on the accuracy of the information provided by you. Visa advice is current but can change prior to your intended travel.
- Verification of documentation requirements must be done when travel dates nears.
- Failure to provide the required documents may result in being denied boarding privileges by the carrier or relevant authorities, without further recourse or the possibility of a refund.
- Cruise passengers must present a valid passport, regardless of the entry requirements for their country of embarkation.
- To re-enter Canada, you must have valid Canadian passport, you need to show Permanent Resident card or Canadian Visa.
- Immigration authorities have the sole discretion to deny entry even when the relevant documentation is provided. A traveler with criminal history may be denied entry.
- We recommend that you inquire with the Consular Affairs Bureau for Canadians Abroad or review online the Essential Information for Canadian Travelers Guide at www.voyage.gc.ca to satisfy personal requirements.
- For some countries, international health certificates and vaccinations are required.
- Some countries require travelers to be issued a special international driver's permit and/or international proof of insurance.

- An adult travelling with minor children is strongly advised to hold a notarized letter of travel consent signed by other parent(s) or guardian(s) with legal custody. The letter must include the signor's address, phone details, authorization to travel, the destination and length of stay. If a parent/guardian is divorced or deceased, a custody document or death certificate is required.
- For unaccompanied minors travelling please provide the details of the person who is responsible for meeting the minor at the destination to your travel agent and the airline.
- It is your responsibility to obtain all documents including those for infants and children required by relevant government authorities of the country you're visiting.
- Some countries have very specific regulations regarding cases where only one parent is travelling with a child. We recommend you obtain information from the consulate of destination.
